The best player props for the Game 3 matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and the Colorado Avalanche as the series heads to Edmonton.

Mikko Rantanen – Anytime Goal-Scorer (+120)

Mikko Rantanen has found his scoring touch at the right time as the Avalanche are looking to take a stranglehold on the series and go up 3-0. He had scored just one goal in the playoffs, coming in Game 4 of the series vs the St. Louis Blues, before scoring in back-to-back games to kick off Round 3.

He is now up to three goals and 15 points in 12 games and the three-time 30-goal scorer who set a career high in goals this season with 36 is finally getting his scoring touch back. His confidence is growing with each solid performance, so look for him to score for a third game in a row.

Evan Bouchard – Points (Over 0.5, +145)

Evan Bouchard has been the most effective defenceman for the Oilers offensively in these playoffs, scoring three goals and recording nine points in 14 games. He has shown off the power behind his slap shot and been in the right area of the ice to get good shots. He often pinches to keep the play alive, but it has come back to hurt the Oilers as well. When it is executed well, it allows for him and the Oilers to have more sustained pressure that could lead to more points.

The Oilers have the most goals for and the second-most goals for per game, so it’s likely Bouchard will be in on the action if the team ends up scoring a few.

Evander Kane – Anytime Goal-Scorer (+130)

Evander Kane and the rest of the Oilers were held off of the scoresheet last game and are primed for a bounce-back game in which the big guns should find the scoresheet. He is one of the forces that has led the offence, scoring 13 goals in 14 games and coming up with big game performances throughout the playoffs thus far.

Kane has scored in six of the 14 games, recorded two hat tricks, and been the most effective when he’s been on a line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The Oilers may very well have to go back to that line combination after they were shut out to get the offence going once again. Kane is a dangerous scorer and will continue to be a threat to get a goal or more every game.

The UEFA Nations League is underway, kicking off the group stage matches on June 1. There have been a few surprises already, with Denmark edging out powerhouse France 2-1 and Poland defeating Wales 2-1 on opening day. Today, seven matches in total, with Groups A, B, and C taking the pitch. We’ll be covering Hungary’s biggest hill to climb against England and the showdown between Turkey and Faroe Islands. This is the place to find everything, including team win odds, the over/under, and point spreads.

Moneyline: England @ -223

England will be heavy favourites to win today, but they’re in for a rocky ride with Germany and Italy involved. They’ll be without several players for their opening game, including centre-backs Fikayo Tomori and Marc Guehi to minor injuries, while forward Raheem Sterling is doubtful due to an illness. Midfielder Phil Foden will also miss Tuesday’s game against Germany after testing positive for COVID-19. They’re still the odds-on favourite (-223) to cruise their way through Hungary.

Since 1962, Hungary has not defeated England in 15 attempts, and that shouldn’t change any time soon. With England being undefeated in their last 22 matches, Hungary faces an almost-impossible task. While Hungary was set to play without fans due to repeated racist behavior, UEFA has allowed children to attend when accompanied by a parent. The new stipulation has led to an expected turnout of over 30,000 fans in attendance. It’ll take a lot more than a large group of cheering fans for Hungary to do any damage today.

Prop Bet: Harry Kane Anytime Goal Scorer (+140)

With Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League, Harry Kane was an absolute menace to deal with. He recorded 17 goals and seven assists in 37 games this year, adding four goals in four games at the UEFA Europa Conference League. He’s a goal-scoring machine and will be one of the deadliest threats of Group A.

He’s in a good position to net some goals in the early stages of the group and, in doing so, will reach an extra level of fame. Kane currently sits at 49 goals with the England national team. Wayne Rooney, one of the biggest legends of his sport, holds the record with 53. Kane can surpass Rooney in this tournament alone, and the motivation to pick up a few against an inferior Hungary team is plausible.

Moneyline: Turkey @ -800

The match between Turkey and Faroe Islands presents the most-lopsided odds of the day. Turkey is the heavy favourite to win their match (-800), and they’ll need to pick up as many points as possible, with Lithuania and Luxembourg looming. Turkey has the talent to do some damage this year, with Merih Demiral, Caglar Soyuncu, and Cengiz Under leading the charge. They’ve had disappointing results in recent memory and will look to shed past years’ shortcomings and finish at the top of Group C.

If you’re a risk-taker, perhaps putting a bit of change on the Faroe Islands to come up with the ultimate upset is intriguing. At +2000, a $10 bet nets you a profit of $200. They likely won’t win any of their group-stage matches, but the opportunity is there. Viljormur Davidsen, Sonni Nattestad, Odmar Faero, Hallur Hansson, and Gilli Rolantsson Sorensen are all players to watch out for, and Mads Boe Mikkelsen could make his debut as well.

The UEFA Nations League is underway, kicking off the group stage matches on June 1. There have been a few surprises already, with Denmark edging out powerhouse France 2-1 and Poland defeating Wales 2-1 on opening day. Today, there are seven matches in total, with Groups A, B, and C taking the pitch. We’ll be covering the battle of titans between Germany and Italy and also take a look into Finland’s first match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the place to find everything, including team win odds, the over/under, and point spreads.

Moneyline: Germany @ +120

Under head coach Hansi Flick, Germany has undergone a transformation of sorts, with their playing style adapting to a more offensive approach. They were absolute monsters in the World Cup Qualifiers, winning nine of 10 games and cruising through the competition. They’re one of the top favourites to go all the way in the UEFA Nations League, but a disappointing 2020 World Cup has placed an extra level of pressure on their shoulders.

Despite being named the best European club of 2021, Italy stumbled in the World Cup Qualifiers. They were one of the few countries expected to soar, but a 3-0 loss to Argentina spelled the end of their aspirations to win a championship in Qatar. Head coach Roberto Mancini faces a challenge with taking a club that no longer has Giorgio Chiellini, as he played his final game for Italy during the qualifiers.

Prop Bet: Timo Werner Anytime Goal Scorer (+187)

At 26, Timo Werner had an exceptional year on several stages. Averaging 39% of Chelsea FC’s playing time in 21 games, he recorded four goals and one assist. Despite suffering a strain that took him away for three matches and COVID-19 striking him in late December, Werner hasn’t missed a beat when he’s running the ball. He recorded four goals and two assists in five Champions League games during 245 minutes of playing time.

He’ll be one of Germany’s top players at this year’s UEFA Nations League, and the team will need him to be at his best. He shares the best odds (+187) of scoring a goal at any point during the match against Italy, along with fellow countryman Leroy Sane. The pair of 26-year-olds have a combined market value of $123.2 million and will be counted on to carry the brunt of the offense for Germany this year.

Moneyline: Finland @ +155

Expected to lead Group B out of the group-stage matches, Finland should have a relatively easy time taking care of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They’ll face Montenegro and Romania later in the tournament and have good odds of winning all three games. They’ll be extra motivated to take over their group after missing out on Euro 2022, finishing third in their group behind Ukraine and France. They’ve won only three of their last 11 international matches, but their last victory was against Bosnia and Herzegovina back in November of last year.

Bosnia and Herzegovina were in the same boat as Finland, missing out on the 2022 Euro Cup. They finished behind Finland and will aim to take down the team that wiped away their chances of competing on a larger stage. They’ll be in tough, as they’ve won only two of their last 17 international games. Striker Edin Dzeko came off the bench at the 86th minute to put his team ahead against Luxembourg back in March, closing up their last victory. Against Finland, they lost their most recent match by a score of 3-1, so don’t expect much to change today.

There’s plenty of action on Saturday for Major League Baseball bettors, and there are some good value plays to be found in the American League. This betting guide looks at a pair of games that should provide some solid plays, including a tight AL West matchup and another with the surging Tampa Bay Rays.

Seattle Mariners (+100) vs Texas Rangers (-120)

The Mariners blew a lead and then took it back in the ninth to win the first game of the series on Friday. After a mini-run, the Rangers have now lost three in a row. Texas starter Glenn Otto has been sharp in his last two starts, giving up just one run in each of them while winning both. Marco Gonzalez has also been decent, going at least six innings in his last three starts while giving up two runs or less in each. This should be a close game but lean toward Texas (-120) to bounce back after a tough one on Friday.

Both of these pitchers have been playing pretty well lately, and the under has landed in four of the last five games in Texas. Seattle has gone under in five of its last eight, but all three that went over during that stretch were against Baltimore. Texas has hit the under in four straight, and that trend should continue with two sharp starters going. Lean toward the under (U9, -120) again on Saturday.

Chicago White Sox (+100) vs. Tampa Bay Rays (-120)

Tampa Bay has won three in a row, taking a pair from the Texas Rangers before downing the White Sox on Friday. They host the White Sox again on Saturday. These teams have split their four meetings this season, but Tampa has won the last two. Tampa has done very well against the White Sox at home, and this should be another good spot for them. Take the Rays’ money line (-120) against a struggling White Sox club.

White Sox starter Dylan Cease has been a roller coaster lately, while Rays’ starter Drew Rasmussen got rocked in his last start in Texas. The over has hit in the last four meetings between these two teams in Tampa Bay, and in six of the last eight meetings overall. With two shaky starters, this looks like it could be higher scoring again on Saturday. Lean towards the over on this one (O7, +100).

A great slate of National League games is on tap Saturday, featuring eight games. The Arizona Diamondbacks look to continue their road success against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The San Francisco Giants and Miami Marlins play a pivotal third game of their series after splitting the first two. This betting guide gives some insight into the best value plays from that pair of NL contests.

San Francisco Giants (-110) vs Miami Marlins (-110)

Pablo Lopez has been a decent starter for the Marlins, but Miami has lost five of his last six starts. On the other side, Giants starter Logan Webb has been sharp this season, and San Fran has won six of his last seven starts. He’s pitched six innings or more in five of those. With 15 runs on Friday, the Giants dug into the Miami bullpen, too. Take the Giants’ money line (-110).

These teams combined for 21 runs on Friday, and that was after Miami shut the Giants out the game before. These pitchers shouldn’t let things get too out of control on Saturday, but this is a low number on the total, and the bullpens have been rough. There’s some value in the over in this one, but it should be close. Lean towards the over (O7, +100) in this one.

Arizona Diamondbacks (+105) vs Pittsburgh Pirates (-125)

Roasny Contreras takes the mound for the Pirates, and he was really good in his first two starts of the season – allowing just two runs in 10 innings across both those starts. The problem? The Pirates lost both of those games because of bad offense. They’ll get some runners against Arizona starter Zach Davies, who has struggled lately, and against the D’Backs his entire career. This game might be a coin flip, but back the Pirates money line (-125) with the better pitcher.

These are two of the lowest-scoring teams in the NL this season. However, the over has landed in three of Pittsburgh’s last four, and Arizona has scored at least six runs in three of its last four games. Davies’ ERA is north of 5.00 in 18 career starts against the Pirates, and he has stunk on the road this year, too. Take the over in this one (O8.5, -110).

The betting odds and picks covering everything to do with the Edmonton Oilers vs. Colorado Avalanche game as the Avalanche hold a 2-0 series lead.

Edmonton Oilers (+110) vs Colorado Avalanche (-135)

The Oilers return home in an attempt to stop the bleeding and make this third-round series a close one. The last time they were shut out this postseason they took a while during the next game to respond, but you can count on Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and the rest of the star forwards on the Oilers to step up offensively.

The Avalanche are still favoured in this one and are 5-0 on the road in the 2022 Playoffs. If they take this game, it will be nearly impossible for the Oilers to come back and qualify for the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2006. It should be a much better effort on the Oilers part, while the Avalanche won’t give them any room to breathe as they can almost smell victory just six wins away from the Cup. But the Oilers are the desperate team, and with two of the most dangerous players in the world, they won’t go away easily. Take the Oilers.

Over/Under (Under 7, -125)

It has been a tough go if you have been betting the over/under in the conference finals thus far. After 14 goals in Game 1 between these teams, the Oilers were shocked and Pavel Francouz of the Avalanche stepped up big time for a shutout.

The Oilers didn’t play badly defensively other than a two-minute span where they broke down and lost the game right there. With all the offensive talent on both sides, the teams are bound to get some goals, but in what should be the tightest game of the series thus far, the goaltenders could come into effect. Mike Smith has generally bounced back from losses, and he did for the most part in Game 2, but Game 3 will be his real test.

Game Props

Whether it’s the Oilers needing a comeback and forcing their way back into games or them breaking down for a short period of time and allowing goals, the third period is primed for the over in goals. Neither team is going to go away and there is always a chance at an empty net or two, so we will take the third period over (O2.5, -110).
